A deep dive into W&K's Bud Light Seltzer Spots

WTF is Seltzer? 


Working with creative Grace Martins and Art Director Oli we designed an overall look: A 'Bud-Blue' setting made of abstract surfaces and materials. Product stylists Nico & Franny used fresh fruit and ice to add some delicious chaos.


DOP Rene Richter lit & lensed it. Producer Dennis Brinkmann kept the budget & crew in check. We shot remote from Marmalade studios Europe for six days.

Included in the campaign were nine short social films. I wanted these to look like table-top party-tricks you might try on your iphone.


For this reason, I suggested using Stop-Trick animation to add colour, motion and give the films a playful touch.


For this we brought in Kathrin Albers - a master of in-camera animation whose life is dedicated to this craft. Together we came up with nine ideas that were  fun and uncomplicated. Heres a taste ...
